Ben Turpin, an Orvis Endorsed Guide, designed this fly to imitate the actual size of a trout egg and to have a hook that was barely visible to the trout. This trout fly is best fished in a tandem rig with another egg with the flies about 8 inches apart and a small split shot between them. Two eggs rolling along the bottom always work better than one. Turpin says this fly fishing tactic usually produces some of his largest trout each year. Trout fly colors in red, peach, pink.Fly in sizes: 20.

"Any egg has always done the trick for me in mid-winter months. I cannot wait to try out the Micro Egg."

Another fat NC trout!!
"This is a great fly in the colder months (hence the snow in the picture). Fish it deep in slow drifts and the trout will eat it up!!"

"The Micro Egg has caught more fish for me than any other fly during the mid-winter months. With the proper drift along the creek bottom the trout hardly resist an easy feed on eggs."
