2nd pair,
October 11, 2012
By: Wass1
"Bought a set of these about 17 years ago. Finally got too scratched to use. Liked them so much I bought a new set. Pleased with the improvments such as the pin to hold it in place. Makes my ancient eyes able to tie 18's with ease."

Perfect for Me,
September 8, 2012
By: LRine
from North Canton, OH
"I have tried various other aids for assistance in tying a size 24 nymph onto 7x tippet and nothing compares to the Flip Focal. The magnification is excellent, it does easily flip up and down and it stays in place on the bill of my cap. The pin through the clip and cap bill make it very stable
It is just an excellent product..

Great product,

"These magnifiers are a great help to us senior fishermen. It is so much easier to flip down the magnifier from your cap bill instead of fumbling around in your pocket trying to find and put on your glasses. A great time saver."

"I have had three of them and just ordered a 4th for a spare to carry. No need for glasses on the stream with these. They last me for about 4-5 years of 40 days+ a year fishing all weather."

Flip Focal Funk,
February 14, 2013
By: RRk34
"Tried out the flip focal attachment inb hopes of not having to pull-out reading glasses to tie on. I couldn't easily find the "sweet" spot of magnification. I hope this improves with continued use but I'm doubtful."

Poorly designed,
January 21, 2013
By: pnotto
from Canton Ohio
"I have to wonder if the person who designed these ever used them. They fit quite well on the brim of your hat but you have to pull the hat down as far as it will go on your forehead to get the lenses to line up with your eyes. Even the package shows a picture of a man and it's obvious his eyes aren't anywhere close to being inline with the lenses. They need to hang down about another inch."

Can see again !,

By: formarkeuk

"Bought the flip up as i was struggling with tying the fly on and fed up of using reading glasses. Should have bought it earlier as its a fabulous piece of kit in sun or rain. Helps me see the smallest detail and flips into or out of sight with ease making life much easier particularly in the rain as it stays dry under the peak of my cap."

Old Man's Eyes!,
September 18, 2012
By: FlyFshrOfCT
from Norwalk, CT
"As many men/women get older, they become near sighted. This is problematic if you're a fly fisherperson. I used to be to thread a #24 with no ease and now can hardly thread a #16. The flip focals are great. Instead of having to lug around a pair of reading glasses, which I did, I use the flip focals which are so handy and ingenious and allow me to get them out of the way so I get back to fishing. I bought 3 pair so I have them handy when I need them on different caps."

"This is my second pair of this product. At my age, they are more of a necessity than a luxury. Really helps with attaching the smaller size flies to tippet. Original pair finally broke after many years of use."

"When you cam't see you cannot enjoy! The flip focal product has me back on the river with renewed passion. This product is a must have for us with older eyes. Size 20's have never been easier!
No price is to much to pay to enjoy the thrill of small nymphs."

Great Purchase,
August 28, 2012
By: SpottedFeather
from Pennsylvania
"At 60 I just started to learn to Fly Fishing last year after retirement. Fish mostly for trout with small flies, nymphs and midges, #16 to #24. Had problems treading 6X & 7X tippet even with bifocals. Purchased this little Flip Focal and it does the trick and is very easy to use and store on your hat brim. I don't even wear my glasses now, just sunglasses. Can't go without it now. Hope they don't scratch easily....we'll see?"

"This is one of those things you put off because you don't want to admit that you can't still thread a needle with or without your glasses. Well, I finally caved and bought it, and I'm glad I did. It works well and has reduced the frustration factor of up close work, like tying knots."

A baby boomer must have,
August 9, 2012
By: Grrarch

"The flip focal is very handy and saves you from having to find cheaters in your vest, which will probably end up on a fish when you drop them in the water. They are far enough away from your face to keep from steaming up in humid or cold weather."

Excellent product,

By: fishybez

"The flip focal is a true fit for purpose product. I was carrying around a cheap pair of glasses in my fly vest but it was a real nuisance having to swap my sunglasses every time i wanted to change the fly. This product is really convenient to use, and also has good optical quality, in fact I've used it for all sorts of close up work around the house."

Priceless,
February 28, 2012
By: tookie
from Downingtown Pa
"I am 64 years old and without these clip on glasses I could not see the eyelet on a # 16 or higher hook. Also could not thread a 5x or higher tippet, with this no problem. Clips on my hat and tucks under the brim when not in use.
As the saying goes priceless.
