The longer length and heavier seven-gauge knit make this our most luxurious two-ply cashmere cardigan sweater for women. Shell buttons, two patch pockets. Ribbed stand collar, cuffs, hem, pockets, and placket. Pure cashmere. Dry clean. Imported.Sizes: S(6-8), M(10-12), L(14-16), XL(18-20); about 26" long.

"This sweater is so comfortable. It is loose fitting but not at all sloppy. You can wear it with jeans or dress it up with a pretty tank or blouse underneath. The sweater feels so soft. The first time I wore it, I got complements from several of my friends. I bought the cornflower blue color. The color is lively without being loud and will even be appropriate to wear this spring or on cooler summer days."

"These sweaters are an exceptionally poor value for the price. I bought two of these sweaters for my wife in September 2012 and they are not wearing well at all. After the first time to the dry cleaner, the buttons on the first sweater de-laminated and fell apart. After telling our dry cleaner (for over 20 years) about the problem, she confirmed that she uses a special bag for sweaters and took extra care when she cleaned the second one. We had the same problem with the buttons on the second sweater, too. The only thing Orvis did was to send new buttons, and it took to calls to get the correct colors sent. After replacing all of the buttons on both sweaters we had the same problem all over again. To make matters worse, we are starting to notice pilling - even with only light wear. Save your money, do not buy these sweaters. The quality is poor and I'm not at all satisfied with the response from Orvis when I first told them of the problem."

"After much mulling I bought the petite charcoal, which was perfect for me (5' 3"). The style and fit of this cardigan is really excellent - hits just below the hip and the sleeve length is perfect. My only niggle is the quality of the cashmere itself. It is very short fibre - and pills a lot, which means it isn't very high quality yarn. However, it is thick and warm and well designed."

"I love these sweaters--I now own five in different colors and this soft yellow may be the best one yet. They are my go to winter clothes as here in TX I hardly ever wear a coat. Soft, warm, nice casual wear but dressy enough for most of my needs."

"I purchased two of these sweaters. The first one, purchased 11/29/2010, in charcoal grey still looks terrific after more than two years and lots of wear. The second one, in red, was purchased in October of 2011. After little more than a year, the fabric is badly pilled. What is worse, all of the buttons broke when I had it cleaned last week."

"I had admired this sweater in the catalog for some time but hesitated because of the price. I finally ordered it and now wish I had not waited so long. It is just gorgeous; the fabric is outstanding, plush and soft, not thin like some cashmere. It's true to size and long enough, unlike some of the current shorter styles which I find unflattering. Now I'm looking for an excuse to get another color!"

"I have looked at this item for a number of years since it is a classic in your catalog. Because it is one of your more expensive items I always passed it up but this year when my daughter asked me what I wanted, I told her that I wanted the red cashmere sweater. I was thrilled when she sent it and remain thrilled.It fits perfectly, looks beautiful and will go with so many things that I wear. You can see that it is a quality product in every respect."

"Love the cardigan, it is warm, lightweight, adn comfortable. Dressy enough for work or dinner out, can be dressed up or down. Fit is generous, I would normaly order a medium, but the small fits well.
My only complaint is that the white thread on theh top buttons shows when the collar flips open - I plan to remove those buttons, since they don't show anyway, and the white thread bothers me."

"This is one of the finest quality cashmere sweaters I have ever purchased. It's soft and warm, not at all scratchy, and the perfect weave for a cardigan. Most cashmere cardigans I find in stores are of thinner material and the sleeves wind up being too tight over a shirt. This one is perfect.
