Beautiful Southwestern Pastel,

"A Southwest alternative to Hawaiian shirts. I have worn Hawaiian shirts along time simply because there were no Southwest/American Indian types of shirts. I love ORVIS for making these available."

"This is the second shirt of this type
that my husband has. The first one with the stripes he has had for a
year and gets compliments every time he wears it The newer one in khaki and navy is also a winner.
Both wash and wear very well.

A very colourful summer shirt,

"The colours & design of these shirts are quite splendid: so much so that I have one with the pink stripes; and one of the light green with zig-zag decoration. Just the thing on informal occasions when worn with the Regimental blazer!"

Excellent series of shirts,
April 3, 2013
By: TexasBohunk
from Richmond, TX
"I'm addicted to Orvis' Native American Pattern shirts - I own 9 versions, including the 3 still available on Orvis.com. They are well-made & make a statement with the vibrant colors without being too flashy (except for the old Tan/Multi version). Some require touch-up with an iron, but care is pretty minimal overall for all-cotton shirts. I've also had them laundered occasionally when I get the urge for "crispness". The colors do fade a bit over time, but that just makes them more personalized & treasured. (My only complaint is that I do wish Orvis would bring back some of the retired versions missing from my collection. I saw them, not in my size, at the Outlet in Houston before it was shuttered, and I regret not finding out about this series until it was too late.)"

Favorite Shirt,
September 13, 2012
By: SnakeRiverOtter
from Lewiston, ID
"I recently purchased a Native American Pattern Shirt in khaki. I don't know why it's called khaki, it's actually broad-banded and multi-colored. I'm 5'10' with broad shoulders and a narrow waist. I don't like shirts that are too short, so I ordered a large long. Usually I wear an extra large, but this shirt was plenty big enough in the shoulders. However, it ended up way too long, so I had my wife shorten it and make it straight bottomed with side slits instead of a curved tail. In my opinion all shirts should have straight bottoms with side slits. I bought the shirt in spite of the colors, but over-all they have a pleasing look. I wouldn't have picked the pink stripe. It looks best with blue jeans. It's one of my favorite shirts and I've received several compliments on it."

A bit different,
August 29, 2012
By: Skipper38
from Lymington
"With a wardrobe of striped, checked and plain summer shirts, accumulated over many years, I was looking for something different to wear. The red Indian design on this shirt caught my eye and I ordered one. I'm delighted: well made, not too short to wear tucked into or over trousers it fits my bill admirably."

Original Shirt Styles at Orvis,
July 23, 2012
By: rowatki
from NYC
"Beginning with Spring, 2010, I have purchased approximately 10 different shirts from Orvis, all original in their own way; this shirt is an excellent example. The khaki/navy pattern is unusual and looks well with jeans and dressier casual pants.I have worn this shirt to work (casual Fridays) and received many compliments. It is light and comfortable, even in very warm, humid New York City weather."

Love this shirt...many compliments!,
July 16, 2012
By: Rightquiet

"I've had this shirt for a few years and love it. Plus I get many compliments on the colors. Doesn't fade or shrink. Looks great with jeans or khakis in black, tan, dark red or light green. I liked it so much that I bought the same shirt just recently. Comparing the two, the colors had barely faded on the first, despite many washings. I suggest you might want to touch it up with an iron after washing."

Love the style,
July 14, 2012
By: ACanadian
"I have been very impressed with the ethnic style shirts that are available. I ordered 3 shirts including this one. The design is beautiful. These are great for casual wear. My criticism is with the big tag on the neck. In 2 of the 3 shirts the tags were so itchy that I had to cut them out. The 3rd one, for some reason has not bothered me. I find this extremely annoying and wish that manufacturers could design a tag that does not pitch. My other concern is that I feel the shirts are best worn not talked into the pants. In this case they are a little too long–probably about 6 inches too long. They border on looking messy. The fact that the bottoms are scalloped and not straight further emphasizes the sloppiness. Other than that I am quite happy with the shirt."
