Sly & the Family Stones
A Dave Hise black stonefly pattern with a hinged body and slim profile for early season stonefly nymphs. Moves beautifully in the water and imitates the first smaller black stonefly nymphs of the season. Great prospector. Color, Black.Nymph in sizes: 12, 14, 16.

"This fly is a killer. The action really gives it a life-like look, and the trout go nuts. Not a bad name, either."
"The action of this fly makes it a true trout slayer. if your home stream is inhabited with stones you owe it to yourself to fish this fly. Just be good to the fish when you sore up there mouth."

Spring Steelie that fell for Sly
"This articulated pattern works well on any stream that holds a resident population of Allocapnia and Taeniopteryx stoneflies; the winter and spring slim bodied stones. Indicator nymph it through the riffles or the tailouts of pools for the best results. It can even be fished in combination with an adult stone pattern. Regardless of the technique, it is very effective."
