"Had XL Orvis feather bed for 12 years and finally could no longer keep the feathers in. Placed the microfiber cover over it. It is a contest for my 2 dogs to see who gets that pillow for the night. The cover is soft and comfortable enough for me to fall a sleep on and I have."

"Great dog bed cover that even my Dalmatian hasn't been able to scratch through! She loves her dog "nest" but I like the attractive design and color of the well constructed tartan bed cover! That's why I have this cover on 3 nests. I highly recommend this Orvis bed cover!

"I have bought many dog beds over the years and always come back to the Orvis Dog Nest and Dog Nest Covers. The quality of workmanship is apparent as they last the longest and are mighty durable, wash well and look great. But the most important, the dogs use them."

"I purchased this cover as a replacement for a well worn down dog bed. I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the package and saw the cover. It is very attractive and looks like quality. I needed two but wanted to wait to see if I liked it before I bought another. I will be ordering the second very soon."

"I have 4 coonhounds that absolutely adore their Orvis beds. Just purchased 4 new beds and additional 4 extra covers for wash day....they don't like to be without. This was a "big" undertaking, but took advantage of a sale price at the time. Truth be told, I have a medium on my bed that I use - it works great for elevating my hip - love it!! LOL"

"The dog nest cover is very durable for my dog who really likes to dig at her nest before finally settling down to sleep! I have tried other dog beds and they usually end up with holes in them. It washes well and holds its shape. Our dog loves it. She can really snuggle in!"

"Simply the best and longest lasting dog bed solutions. My very active dog has used the medium round bed since he was a year old and still in the chewing stages. The last Orvis cover made it through 6 years of pawing, sleeping, washing, etc. before it finally wore out and the zipper was still working!
I appreciate that we can replace the cover separate from the bed - the Orvis pad inside will be replaced next but it is still comfy after 4 years. From an environmental standpoint, as well as REALLY good quality, I enthusiastically recommend this microfiber dog's nest cover"

"After nearly 16 years of buying Orvis Dog Nest beds for 7 different Labs, the current microfiber nest covers are truly disappointing. I have the old cotton canvas covers that have lasted over 10years. I would avoid these plastic feeling, shiny covers if you are a fan of the classic. Our pup gets pretty warm(it's FEB in Colorado!) and ends up moving to the floor. I haven't washed it yet, but am not holding out much hope. Orvis please return to the good old cotton canvas that lasts forever and gets more comfortable with age!"

"My covers had all lost their zippers to chewy nighttime habits. Then the innards were being strewn liberally about with joyful abandon. These new covers are strong and better yet, their zippers are artfully covered with a flap disguising their intrinsic chewiness. I'm hoping that they last a long long time. They look like they will. The large size amply covers my large pillows."

"We previously had the Orvis Tartan cover which lasted for about 7 years, but started to wear out. This new cover is a bit heavier and is more neutral in color. They were both great! Not only do we like how they look and hold up, but our dog loves them!"
