Collapsible Dog Travel Crate
Leave this dog crate folded in your vehicle's cargo area—it's sturdy enough to pile groceries and sports equipment on top. When you need it, just unfold it. This folding dog crate features a hinged door on each end, a flip-up top door, and a large swing-up garage-type side door that slides back under the top. The heavy-gauge plastic top holds up to 100 lbs.; plastic sides and bottom feature rounded corners to protect vehicle and home interiors. Curved solid-steel grid doors. Built-in wheels and handle. Fits in most station wagons, SUVs, and minivans. Includes fleece/nylon crate pad and carrying bag. Folding dog crate in sage. Imported.

"I normally do not write reviews but this crate deserves a review. It is so easy to set up. It almost did it by itself. The small crate is going to be large enough when the 3 month old puppy grows up. Morgie loves to curl up in it now and take a nap."

"Excellent travel crate, high quality except for the nine clips, which need to be made sturdier. We have an 85-lb English labrador retriever; dog fits, but snugly. The largest crate would not fit in our vehicle; this one will work for us. Dog likes it. The wheels are a nice feature. We just hope that none of the nine clips break. And I'm very satisfied with Orvis."

"I really like your "Collapsible Dog Travel Crate." When I placed it in the back seat of my truck however, the gates really rattled against the plastic frame. Suggestion, at the openings where the gates meet the plastic frames that you install (from the factory) felt to keep the squeaky noise away. I applied aftermarket felt stips with one side that stuck to the frame and now that bed is perfect for my needs."

"Nice dog crate, easy to assemble, useful to have all the different doors.
Best of all it can be moved very easily on it's wheels, making it easy to clean underneath. Mine is in the dining room, and doesn't look as unsightly as the usual dog crates.I bought it for my youngest dog, a norfolk terrier, and he loves it."

"the plastic clips broke the first week i used the crate. orvis was great about replacing the clips but by then my puppy learned if she shook the doors the clips would break & she was free. she ended up bending the end doors from pulling them. the crate was trashed in only a couple months. i purchased a cheap metal crate from a chain pet store my puppy tried to shake the door open..failed and has since given up trying."

"This crate has all the features needed to make the perfect travel crate. The 3 doors and top open making it easy to use when the car is full of luggage. It's sturdy and attractive. It folds easily and stores in a bag. The medium is perfect for my Border Collies... plenty of room to move around and be comfortable."

"I needed a cage for my Goldendoodle to fit in my Chevy Equinox. This cage fits perfectly and the side entrance makes it easy! The wheels are quite handy for moving the cage around. Easy to fold out, haven't tried taking it down yet and putting it in the bag. The latches are difficult for my mom with arthritis in her hands to open."

"This is a very well constructed, pretty easily portable kennel. It is very strong, opens on three sides (each end opens like a normal door, and then one entire side slides up) and an opening in the top. It even comes with a nice bed lining that can be used as a dog mat anywhere. It folds to a very manageable size AND it has WHEELS and rolls very easily. Really love it, now own two (both largest size, for our two labs!)"

"I bought the travel crate for my 2 shelties to be able to take wherever we go but unfortunately i was disappointed for it is too heavy to carry around at the dog shows even without the dogs inside. Maybe a smaller size like the Medium would have worked better for this is impossible to carry anywhere. Also it doesn't fit in the European cars, i mean the size large which is the one i bought. But as a crate it looks great and airy but not what i was looking for to help in the move."

"I was initially drawn to this crate for of the following reasons:
1. Durable plastic - my
(now 9mo old) puppy who is a big chewer would not be able to destroy it in a matter of seconds; I felt more confident with the hard plastic than nylon or mesh.
2. It is collapsible: I am on the road a LOT, & I am continually staying at different destinations for short to long periods of time. I thought that having a durable & collapsible crate that I could put in the back seat of my car, or collapse & put into my trunk for traveling would be great.

***Improvement Suggestions***
1. The plastic is just a little too heavy. Great durability, but somehow shedding 5-7lbs off of the crate would make a difference.
2. An additional carrying handle. Currently, there is only one handle & it is difficult to load in & out of a car, or carry anywhere for more than a "few" seconds; or to have someone else help you carry it up a flight of stairs...
3. The metal clasps that close the crate on each end, fall out/off pretty much every time I open or close them as I'm setting up or collapsing the crate.
4. The elastic bands that are supposed to help keep the crate closed when collapsed are too delicate. One of them has already snapped in two.
5. The plastic "hooks" on the side that collapses down do not work easily or well, they are more of a hassle & frustration than anything else. They are almost impossible to get hooked onto the collapse able wire to keep the panels from moving.
6. The "garage door" side does not work very smoothly, it almost "sticks."
7. The carrying case (made out of a very thin nylon material) provided is not strong or durable enough. Were it made out of canvas, or something along those lines, it would be much better.

Overall, I am disappointed that the travel crate is not what I thought it was going to be. In more ways it has proven to be a burden, hassle & frustration to collapse, carry & then set up again. Initially I was so excited to get this collapsible crate & was anticipating its ease of use for my frequent travel needs. In my opinion, definite improvements are needed."

"I am waiting on my cockapoo puppy who will grow to be approximately 18 pounds, so I ordered a small crate. It is smaller than I expected, but I can't bear to send it back and wait on the medium, which will likely not fit in my Hyundai Veracruz. It took seven days to arrive. Assembly was SO SIMPLE - I did it in my front yard as soon as the UPS man arrived. The pad, while soft, has almost no cushion, so I am going to find a pad to put under it I guess. Looking forward to seeing how it goes once the puppy arrives. Thanks, Orvis, for what appears to be a great crate!"

"Purchased two of these (large) crates for 50 lb rescue hounds. Initially very happy with the crates as they are good looking, easy to use/collapse/transport, and the multiple doors are convenient. Unfortunately, it didn't take long for one hound to figure out that pulling the end door inwards past the plastic lip that holds it shut allows escape (granted, this must require some work and determination by the dog, who was only left for about 90minutes). Orvis gracefully accepted a return/refund/exchange. I figured I must have a pretty crafty hound... until yesterday, when the other hound figured out the same trick. Hounds are not known to be super intelligent/crafty and I doubt we ended up with two genius hounds...so cannot recommend these crates because they can't be counted on to contain a determined dog!"
