"I've used this tube aggressively for a year and a half now.
The tube itself is very well-built and sturdy on the water. It's pretty responsive to the slightest kick and turns on a dime. It's also pretty good at cutting through the wind.
The stripping apron will hold a 5lb trout just fine, but still gets in the way a bit. I usually omit it on my outings.
The valves are easy to access and allow quick inflation/deflation for both bladders (another plus - 2 bladders). Any other valve system is sub-par in my opinion (others are very time-consuming).
The only real gripe I have is the overall bulk of the seat and backrest. Sure they could serve as a last-resort pfd, but they really should be inflatable instead of dense foam.
The carry case is huge. When I put everything in my car's trunk, there isn't much more room left for a buddy's gear.
You won't want to haul it around too much in the case. Get some padded backpack straps at your local sporting goods store. There are well-placed D-rings on the underside of the tube for straps to clip onto.
The included pump is a great little dual action unit and pumps up both bladders quickly.
The strap-on platform style fins will do the job, but there are much better fins out there that will require less energy and offer a better fit. These included fins leave my boot rattling around a bit, no matter how tight I pull the strap tags. I replaced those with the style that covers the toe cap and secures with a strong elastic strap behind the heel.
So it's not something you'll likely pack too far into the back country, but you can haul it a few miles for great day trips.
Overall, I give the tube 4 stars. If the seat and backrest were inflatable, I'd give it 5. The fins are horrible. I give them 2 stars."
"For the price, this is an absolute steal! I give it 4 stars since the foam seat can be a little uncomfortable, but nothing too bad. Flippers, pump, carrying bag, stripping basket, and one of the best float tubes on the market at this amazing price? This is a no-brainer."
