Jan's Trout Crayfish

When most people think of crayfish, they think of bass fishing, but the crayfish is one of the big trout's most important sources of food. Fish the crayfish fly pattern slowly along the bottom of a slow pool. Chances are if you do get a bite it will be big. Will in fact work for bass as well. Crayfish fly patterns in orange, olive. In sizes: 8, 10.

Creative fly,

"This is a very creative fly. Fly fishing the streams of western PA, a crayfish fly can be very useful in the slower, smaller streams where native crayfish tend to thrive. The crayfish looks very real. It maybe isn't your "go to" fly, but it is one that you should consider having as an option."

"I haven't had a chance to use these yet. I normally use crawfish in the winter months here in north Georgia and SE Tenn. I believe they will fish fine down near the bottom."

"This is a great little craw pattern for your local lake or stream. I've caught carp, trout, striper and shad on it. Always have one in my box."
