Midge
The simplest of midge dry fly patterns in a number of colors and very small sizes to imitate adult midges. Midge hatches are extremely prolific hatches throughout the country and can provide some excellent fishing in cold weather. Don't ever be without a good midge selection as it may just make your day when nothing else is happening. In olive, grey, cream. Midge fly patterns available in sizes: 20, 22, 24, 26.

"Great little fly. There are tied well and look just like the real thing. After catching a few fish, they seem quite durable as well. I always have these in my fly box in cream & grey and sizes 20 & 22."

"I always keep several of these in both black and olive in my fly box. While I would prefer to fish a larger, more visible fly, often times these just work. Another go to choice when I'm prospecting and not sure of what fly to choose. It has never let me down. Great fly!"

"This fly is amazing. I recently used it in a size 22 on the North Platte near Saratoga, Wyoming. I had not had much luck earlier in the week and the hatches were almost nonexistant. I switched to this fly after talking to a fellow angler. I ended up catching 12 fish over 16 inches and many under that before the hook on my only midge pattern straightened out. Thanks Orvis."
