Dave's Cricket

Any terrestrial can be good at the right time, in the right conditions. In summer near streams with overhanging trees or grassy banks on days when the wind is blowing, drift deer hair terrestrial flies near cut banks and around the point of sweepers. Dave's cricket is a monster deer hair fly for bluegills and bass just off the bank or under overhanging foliage. Color, Black. Flies available in sizes: 8, 10, 12.

"10 minutes ago i went to a really bad stream (few fish, so i thought)
nothin hit the flies that worked just the other day so i was gonna head home. then i looked at the cricket and i said..."lets give it a shot"
half an hour later i had 15 or twenty blue gills, warmouths and fliers!!!
excellant fly.
i suggest everyone keep one or two with them

"Dave's Cricket is a great fly to use in late summer when hatches are a mere memory. I have had great luck with this fly in areas that are heavily wooded with plenty of dead trees extending into the water, areas that usually don’t harbor hoppers. Drift it close to undercuts and washed out trees and prepare to be amazed! Best of luck!"
