Orvis Ratings and Reviews

Top Rated Product

RS2

An essential tail water fly pattern and a killer emerger. But it shouldn't be treated as a traditional emerger. Fish it as a nymph for best results. Present at the holding level of the fish underwater, instead of a traditional emerger presentation. If you are a fly fisherman interested in tying your own RS 2 flies, see our fly pattern recipe below.

Great fly,

"A well tied fly. The RS2 isn't a difficult fly to tie but nonetheless Orvis' are top notch. It's one of my go to flies when nothing else may be working. Caught a nice 19" rainbow with it on the Wautauga River recently with it."

"Great for big rainbows that are selective. Great searching pattern when trout are not rising."

"As the Orvis guide of the year working in the Vail Valley and Madison Valley the RS2 was a consistent winner when the trout become picky in all colors."
