Montana Nymph

Developed for the big waters of the western Montana rivers, these big nymph fly patterns represent the stonefly nymphs that are a large part of the trout's diet in these rivers. Like many nymph patterns, this fly is fished on the bottom with quick, short strips. Fished in this manner, the Montana nymph will imitate the stoneflies migrating to the edge of the river to emerge. In black, blue.In sizes: 8, 10, 12, 14.

"Upon reaching the stream i realized my fly box was at home. I had one fly in my vest, Montana. Fearing the worst but not wanting to go home i tied it on. I caught 3 rainbows. To my suprise stoneflys were in the area and this was a nice match for them!"
