"This fly is quite possibly the best to use during the summer and early fall below generating dams. I have caught so many trout in North Georgia off of this bead head that the fish will literally tear it up. You could say this fly almost works itself. Anywhere I go fishing on a stream I always make sure that I have at least four of these in sizes 16 and 18."

"Agreed — this is the single most effective fly I use, and accounted for most of the trout I caught in the summer and fall of 2004. I love to fish a size 18 Bead Head Pheasant Tail as a dropper off a larger emerger fly like a size 14 BWO or Isonychia. An absolute must for your fly box."

"What can I say about this fly? Well, I believe that I've caught and released more fish on this one fly than all the other flies in my boxes combined. It's just a great all around fly and I wouldn't be caught without it in my "arsenal"."
