Light Hendrickson

Ephemerella invaria is the genus of the light Hendrickson flies (also known as Sulphurs). Generally hatching after the dark Hendrickson, this light pinkish, tan mayfly is one of the favored hatches, particularly in the East. Named after Albert Hendrickson of Scarsdale, New York in 1916 by fly tier Roy Steenrod of Liberty, New York. Next time you're on the stream and the subject of the Hendrickson mayfly comes up, you can impress your friends with that little fact. Color, Natural. Mayfly flies available in sizes: 12, 14, 16.

"I'm from Bloomsburg, PA.I work in the fishing department at Gander Mountain at the Lycoming Mall, so we moved up here to be closer to my job. I've fished many of the streams within a days drive from Bloomsburg. During the first few weeks of trout season, this pattern and the dark pattern is great! Carry a good supply in size 12 and 14. If you'd like to talk, get back to me. Give some help along the stream. Exchanging a few patterns or some friendly talk never hurts. You may even make a new friend. Good Wading, Bill Haney, Jr."
