Fly Formerly Known As Prince

This classic nymph imitates many natural nymphs, and its beadhead gives it just enough weight to let you get it down deeper than a regular nymph. Swing this fly in riffles or runs to imitate many different types of mayflies, or fish it to prospect for trout. A great nymph with a touch of flash to attract trout, it's a must-have nymph for any fly box.Sizes: 12, 14, 16, 18.

Awesome Fly,

By: NNCC

"It's almost cheating with this fly. This is my last resort fly. If the fish aren't hitting anything I throw at them, this fly goes on the rig and the fish start biting. I've caught standard trout all the way up to 10 lb. Steelhead with this."

"I ordered nine (9) flies with this order. at least four of each and 2 sizes. I am very pleased with all of them. I'm looking forward to fishing with them to see if they do catch fish. They are well finished, neatly tied and look quite durable."

"Of all the bead head prince nymphs out there from all the companies, this one truly is the best. I have used it on over 30 trout streams throughout the year in Wisconsin with the same result, lots of action. this fly holds up well but don't hit the stream without a hand full. The amount of trout you will get with this fly will cause you to go through 3+ a day. I have used many other brands attempts at this fly but none hold up as well, have as stunning a look or produce as many trout. Not a bad price either."

"A prince by any other name is still a prince!
Quality fly that can take a hit & keep on ticking. Just like a Timex! Will last through @ least 5 browns & bows 20 " + . Always a go to when they stop sipping on the surface.

"Because of some confused ordering information, this fly arrived too late for my last trip of the season. However, it's exactly what I wanted because I'd used up most of my supply on the previous trip. It was the only fly the fish would take for me late season WI spring creeks. I had to forget 'natural' looking flies; this is what they wanted. Because the description isn't completely clear, when I ordered, I wasn't certain about what I would get. I wanted the mylar wing, which it has, but the description doesn't say that. I also wanted the bead head and the red tie at each end of the body, which is clear in the photo. It's a killer fly, and now I've got some for next season."

"This fly is deadly on big Bluegill, Redear and Crappie. It will also take an occasional 12 to 18 inch bass. I fish it on a 5 wt Hydros either as a dropper under a hopper or simply strip it in slowly while watching the end of the floating fly line."

"I fished this one hole for 45 minutes and got 5 hits on this fly. It was pretty amazing. I even caught two browns back to back on this fly. I def. would recommend this fly. I fished a size 16 with a 5x tippet and the trout loved it. Thanks orvis!"

"This fly is really amazing. The flash wing increases strikes and makes the staple Prince even more productive.
As a dropper below a woolly bugger this is a devastating fly. Beginners as well as seasoned anglers should definitely have this goto fly in the box.
Try this fly for your warm water bluegill too!

"The tinsel is the key ingredient in this fly. It adds the perfect amount of flash to a legendary fly that makes the fish go crazy. If you feel the need to make things truly unfair add a San Juan Worm dropper during fall/winter/spring months. Pink worms tend to work the best with "The Fly" and trout will absolutely work both flies. Make sure you have more than one of each in your box because they will fall apart from the abuse the fish give them. The key is depth....get the fly to the trout....change the depth of your fly 10 times before you change your fly. Good luck and tight lines!!"
