"The watch looks great but unfortunately it broke within a month of ownership. The second hand plain fell off. I have other Orvis watches that work beautifully but this model did not meet expectations."

Beautiful, Accurate and Durable, April 21, 2009

"It's nice to see this fantastic watch back on the website. I got mine soon after it first appeared about 5 months ago and I've been very happy with it. This was my third Orvis watch purchase and like the others, it's a true price performer - providing great value in a stylish, accurate and durable timepiece. The blue of the hands on my watch is more vibrant than shown in the picture - which makes for an exceptionally striking contrast against the white dial. The chrono function has worked flawlessly, although the split "see though" primary hands can make the face a bit hard to read at first glance when all hands are in motion. My sweep second hand was slightly off center when the watch first arrived, but it was easily reset using the included instructions. A few items to note: this watch does not have lumed hands or markers, so you won't be able to see the time in the dark (although with the hand/dial contrast, I can use it in many low light situations without a problem). Also, the case is brightly polished, which is great looking but makes it a bit more susceptible to showing small scratches than if it had a brushed finish. Finally, this watch is BIG. While I love the extra size, it may not be for everybody. If in doubt, use a ruler to see how a full 1 7/8" case will sit on your wrist. An extra few eighths of an inch can make a big difference in the fit and feel of a watch. All in, this has become one of my favorite everyday watches and I expect it to be for many years to come."
