"I bought this hat at an Orvis retail store. They honored the on-line sales price. This hat is high quality, and looks great. The photo on the web does not do justice to it. Hat is darker than shown, more of a brown weave. Perfect for the duck blind, grouse covers or in town."

My new favorite hat, September 28, 2009

"I am now ready for the cooler weather. The hat will certainly keep my head warm with its wool construction. The feather happens to mach the one in the photo but that cannot be guaranteed according the product description.

The hat runs true to the sizing guide. I bought the large and my hat size measured out at 7 3/8. I can place one finger between the sweatband and my forehead; two fingers make for a snug fit.

The color is slightly darker than the photo. The hat is lined and quilted to add structure which you can just make out in the photo as the diagonal lines meeting the side seam. The brim is also quilted."
