"Poor quality of material, buttons near falling off, and in need of a good tailor. I'd been fast to return this if I'd paid full price. Even on sale, the thought crossed my mind."

disappointed, September 3, 2009

"I have been buying clothing and fishing gear from Orvis for a number of years. This is the first time I have been truly disappointed in a product. Unlike most good Scottish tweed the weave in this jacket is loose and won't stand up to wear as a shooting coat. The tweed is full of loose white threads that were obviously not intended to be part of the woven fabric. The lining is bunched in the armpits and cuffs It does not hang well. Poor quality suede in the patches, too stiff. I realize this was a sale item but I would still expect better quality and finish but my tailor says it can be salvaged."
