"Whoever designed this bag is a genius!
Competing bags I checked out online were either too large, too small, or too expensive, as far as I was concerned. I needed a medium-sized bag to carry my birding and dog-walking stuff in the field, as well as to keep the items together in one place around the house, and this one fills the bill exactly.
At the moment, it contains:
Full-size Zeiss 8X42 binoculars A hard-cover field guide, with room for two Notebook and pencils An aluminum water bottle, with room for two Canon A1100 compact digital camera Small radio Cell phone Leather zip case for pipe and tobacco 6-foot leather dog leash Lanyard with two dog whistles Small plastic bag of dog treats Collapsible dog water dish
And there is still room for a sandwich, a folded-up plastic rain parka, a spare pair of socks, or whatever.
The magnetic closure of the top flap makes it easy to take out the bird book without having to operate a buckle or zipper every time, and yet I can zip in the small items and securely close the bag with the buckle when I feel the need, such as when crossing a creek or negotiating a steep slope. The light weight is appreciated, and the shoulder strap is plenty long enough to go over the opposite shoulder so I can carry the bag without fear of dropping it. Finally, the bag's slim shape makes it possible to slip it behind the seat of my small pickup, where it won't draw the attention of prying eyes and fingers.
It's really nice to find such a well-designed and competent piece of equipment available at a reasonable price. Thanks!"

"Very roomy bag, more so than I initially thought when purchasing. Good sturdy construction, ample pockets and storage. Used for upland hunting and sporting clays. Was able to hold EASILY over 100 shells, as well as other items; gloves, knife, sunglasses, extra room on top of that.
Sturdy nylon bag that will work well for fishing, hunting or other outdoor activities.
The strong magnet flaps keeps closed which is good to keep out the elements."

"I usually fish with a chest pack and like to travel light. The Safe Passage Field Bag fits my style wonderfully with its water bottle holders and ample space for fleece, wading jaket, lunch, etc., along with the waterproof zipper pocket to hold my digital camera etc.
Best of all, it is a comortable super light package which does not have to be carried on my back on hot days and can be dropped on the bank quickly.
Again, Orvis offers a nice option to suit my needs."
