A special gunmetal gray anodized finish, a handsome trout engraving, and room for personalization make this limited and numbered-edition fly fishing reel special. 5% of its proceeds going straight to our 2008 Teton River Restoration project make it even more special. Every ounce of extra weight has been carved away, which gives you a light, durable reel to balance perfectly with your favorite 5 or 6-weight fly rod. Consistently precise, a result of manufacturing tolerances that are much tighter compared to die-cast reels. Built around an infinitely adjustable offset disc drag mechanism recognized as the most dependable in the industry. Comes with a special, fleece lined, clam shell leather case. "I purchased this reel six months ago to accompany my 5 wt. rod. It has a gorgeous gunmetal gray finish, a simple traditional design, and a terrific sound when a nice fish pulls out line! It is very smooth and a joy to fish with. I also like being able to contribute to the Teton River Restoration project.

My only complaint is that there is simply too much writing on this reel and the Teton River decal is a bit too large. The looks would be even better if that were eliminated. All in all though, I'm very pleased with my purchase."

"I purchased this special edition BBS III reel version because I liked the images on the web page and I must say it is machined meticulously, the sound is nicer compared to the standard version and the looks are great. Tolerances are narrow, there are no flaws whatsoever. The reel foot of the standard BBS III is lacquered with a black enamel paint that comes of immediately. This is not the case with this reel.
It matches nicely with my Superfine 4 wt 6,6ft and houses 4 wt line very well."
