"I have had this wallet for many, many years. It is thin and light but has enough pockets to hold everything. After many years of service, the external stitching at the fold began to come apart, and the leather itself started to wear through along the outside edge. So I just bought this wallet again to replace the old one that has worn out. I expect another long period of good service.
The wallet is expensive. There are other wallets by other reputable companies with approximately the same features that sell for quite a bit less - often half the price of this wallet or even less. However, the wallet market seems competitive, so it is likely that the less expensive wallets are lower quality. In a competitive market, you usually get what you pay for. I decided to buy this one because I know from experience that it is a good product and because Orvis has excellent customer support."

"Have loved my Orvis Battenkill Wallet despite the many issues that arise. First of all, the leather tends to wear on your credit cards and cause damage to them over time. The wallet interior tends to tear, and the leather has a way of disintegrating with only light wear. However, it is still a great looking and functional wallet. Just wish it would not damage the cards it holds continually and would not tear in so many areas."

"I have had this wallet for maybe two and a half years. The stitching on the exterior of the wallet started coming out about a year ago, then shortly thereafter the Orvis emblem on the exterior of the wallet ripped off and the brown trim onto which it was sewn is now loose and floppy. Also a couple of the credit card slots developed holes in them so the corner of my credit cards sort of stick out into the middle crease of the wallet.
I must have gotten a defective wallet because everything else I have from Orvis is top notch and extremely durable. I would have expected more, especially for ~$70..."

"I have had two of these wallets, averagle lifespan is about 10 years each! Very functional, fits almost all pockets, can accomidate a lot of stuff if you're a receipt pack-rat like me! Wish it came in more than just gree/brown, but I won't buy another wallet ever!"

"I have owned more than a few nice wallets, but the Orvis Battenkill Classic Thinfold Wallet rates with the best of them.
I love the multicolor with the green leather insert, the fancy Orvis logo engraving, and the option for personalization is a plus. The quality is very good.
I have carried mine hunting, fly fishing, hiking and to the board room for several months and it has maintained its shape and looks throughout. Well worth the price in my opinion, and certainly nothing I have found compares for the price. Did I mention that I really like this wallet?"

"I received this wallet, along with a matching checkbook cover, in early 1998. The wallet softened, eventually turned darker around the edges and generally broke in beautifully. I've carried it in my back pocket practically every day since 1998, and it just became better with age. Unfortunately, it was misplaced on a recent trip, or I would probably have carried it another 10 years. I went today and replaced it with a new one at the Orvis store in Sevierville, TN. I look forward to another good 10-15 years of use!"

"Rarely have I ever gotten more than 6 to 9 months from a wallet. The Battenkill Thinfold has been the best wallet I have ever owned, and it's even been through the entire wash cycle more than once. I have had it a year, and it still keeps its integrity. Truly worth the price!"

"This wallet always made me smile because it was a gift from a dear friend. I soon became fond of it for several reasons. It is firm enough to hold all your goods, but easily fits comfortably in a front or rear pocket. The leather is soft but not too slick to fall out. All in all a great product."
