"I have used this pack on many day long wading trips. I love the ability to bring along a day's worth of drinks in the bottles, and having enough room to bring some sandwiches, a light rain coat, and a couple of extra fly boxes in the waist pack. Somewhat disappointed in the size and functionality of the chest pack - it could use a couple of built in zingers and a pocket for forcepts (like the complete Safe Passage Chest Pack). In fact, I ended up purchasing te Complete Chest Pack as well. Overall - very satisfied - as I am with almost every Orvis product I purchaser."

"Tons of room for all my flies, snacks, water and other accessories. I added a fly patch on top of mine so that I have a place to put my flies that I have used. I recommend this pack to all my friends and most of them have purchased one. I use the chest pack on short overnight hikes and it gets the job done."

"This is one of the best packs I have ever bought when it comes to holding items! I wish they did a little better job at making sure their water bottles would not fall through the bottom of the holders. There is only one strap that goes across and my bottles always squeeze by and fall out and now I am missing one. The bottom strap is not centered and there is no way that a bottle can stay secured. The other item is the shoulder strap pad that always twists and does not stay in place well and it will aggravate your shoulder after a whole day fishing. Small details are what make a good product a great product!"

"I bought this combo pack a couple of years ago and use it extensively. When I wear a vest, I also carry the waist pack for extra fly boxes, water bottles, lunch, and other gear. I backpack into the Rockies several times each year, and often day-hike to alpine lakes. This is the pack of choice for those trips as well. The versatility allows me to wear both components as a waist pack, wear just the larger pack, or use either component as a chest pack. Makes a great gift.
My only wish is that it came in a waterproof model as well. I'd order it right away."

"Most functional pack I've ever owned. I love how the chest pack attaches to the waist pack for long hikes to a fishing location. Plenty of room to hold all my gear and gadgets, and I like gear and gadgets. I also really like the shoulder strap to help keep a fully loaded waist pack comfortable. I checked out the Fish Pond packs, and others, and though there are some good packs out there, this one topped the list!!!!"

"I just wanted to say that this tackle bag is the best purchase I have ever made, next to my boat. I have been looking for a waist bag to wade with for probably 5 years or so. It has so much room, I don't need to bring along the big shoulder bag anymore. And I don't even fish with fly equipment. Strictly spinning gear on the Indian River Lagoon flats. So many compartments with a carry handle in just the right place. Not to mention the padded neck strap that I can drape over the shoulder when my hands are full. Awesome, with a capital A!!!"
