"I own a $800 Winston 4#, and a $300 Loomis IM6 4#. I wanted to find a cheaper #4 weight for my kids to use, so I bought this Orvis. (My first Orvis) I am blown away at fact that this $90 rod is easier to cast than the others. shows that you don't have to always spend more to get more. Too bad it's not made in the US like the others. The others excell at hitting a target perfectly. With this rod I seem to be off by a couple of feet every time, but for throwing line this Orvis can't be beat."

"The Streamline 864-2 performs at a level much higher than I expected in a rod in this price range. Easy loading and lightweight, this rod is perfect for throwing nymphs, streamers and drys in small stream settings, as well as bass poppers from shore in ponds and small lakes. This all around rod does it all, for a price that is unbeatable."

"I purchased this outfit on a recent trip to the Smokey Mountains from Little River Outfitters. When I saw the price I was wary. I must say my fears were unfounded, My streamline 864 fished like a rod that cost three times as much! Orvis quality through and through!! Also the staff at LRO were great!"
