"Just spent three days fishing for bonefish in Belize in VERY high winds and the TLS rod with 9.5 Tip worked great.
I think the rod has the correct level of flex and backbone when fishing in these very tough conditions.
I couldn't have been happier with the rod at a very reasonable price."

"I have used this rod up north to fish pike and bass, as well as the east and west coasts of Florida for snook, jack, permit and such. It has performed well in all circumstances. I use the tip flex, and have been able to really "punch" flies into the wind when needed. This has been my "go to" rod for larger species about four years now, and has been a good combo with the Large Arbor reel."

"I have tried alot of high priced rods for saltwater and this is by far one of the best there is. There are very few fishing situatoins that you will come upon that this rod cannot handle. I purposely cast it to fish that you would think you need a 9 or 10 weight for, just to test it's abilities and it handles everything. I've been catching large snook and barracuda on the beach and I have complete control,(once I clear my line from the rolling waves). It casts so smoothly, loads and shoots line so easily it feels like it has an autopilot. Orvis means it when saying this is the perfect saltwater travel rod. Don't just take this rod to your bass pond, stretch it's legs on some bigger saltwater game and let it run."
