The reviews of the original Medusa were stellar five star testimonials to the effectiveness of this fly. We've added a tungsten bead to it and now not only is it wickedly effective, but it will get down to where the fish feed. This may be new but it is a proven winner already. Colors, Pink, Red. In sizes: 12, 14.

30 Fish Days,
March 7, 2009

"30 fish days are possible with this fly included in your pattern. Recently, I was fishing, and couldn't seem to catch anything until I threw this fly on, and then it was on. Incredible fly."

Ugly bug really does the job,
May 23, 2008
By:
KDatSouthPlatte
"So I had to steal three of Charlie Meyers' top-secret "Medusa" flies to get in an honest test-drive myself. And what I can tell you is, the N. Fork of the S. Platte turned into chocolate milk with runoff two days ago. Still, I almost couldn't do it. It was almost too gaudy and disgusting a bug, even for my own heavily-compromised morals ... but I tied it on anyway, and we hooked 20 fish on it today, the largest being a 21-inch bow."

Crazy worm,
February 21, 2008

"This is a great alternative to the original san juan worm. its beefier profile and extra action really draws the fish in. Its a great searching pattern when the water is merked and the fish need a little motivation."

Steelhead and Medusa
"Medusa is a deadly pattern in many fishing situations but it seems to work best when the river levels are up and the water clarity is minimal. Trout, steelies, carp and smallmouth all devour this pattern."
