"I don't believe in doing a review after a few waggles of the rod in the garden, so 18 months down the line and with Pike to 28+ pounds I think I can safely say that this rod has the perfect action for big flies and big fish. With a Rio Ourbound fly line casts of 100+ feet are easy, and I really do mean easy with large wind resistant flies. It has the power to stop big fish in there tracks too! My only critisism is that the stripping rings should be bigger to help with the double hauling and shooting head work on such a powerful rod."

"I've used this rod for Stripers, Bluefish and False Albacore with great success. The tipflex helps to shoot out the line with a minimum of effort, and there is plenty of power in the butt.
You can't beat the 25 year guarantee --"

"Great 4 piece rod! I live on the New England shore so, I keep this one in the back of my SUV all summer and fall (just in case). This rod is just what I was looking for, a powerful yet portable rod at a great price. The TLS Power Matrix series is the best value in fly rods hands down. "
