"I recieved mine 1 1/2 years ago. I wanted this jacket for about 8 years however never wanted to spend the money...GLAD I DID!!! I am a short 5'5 guy and this is the perfect jacket. The length is perfect for a suit or jeans and the pockets are placed in all the right places. I have worn this jacket about 50 times and probably won't re-wax it for a long time (dosen't need it). My only complaint is I would like to have the game pocket in the back (like other models). I don't hunt although the pocket is perfect for a hat or gloves...Overall, I don't wear any other jackets at this point. This has taken over all others!"

"While I have a Beaufort (which I would also very much be willing to give 5 stars too as well) It's deffinately perfect for the shorter guy. Sportier because of the length. I'm 5'8" and find it ideal. I don't sit on the back, pulling the shoulders back like in a longer car coat type of jacket. I would say buy 2 cans of the Silkoil wax to re-treat when it starts to get dull. Orvis can mail your jacket to the Barbour factory for a professional finish but if you are like me and take massive pride in your $400.00+ jacket you'd be willing to do the work for a more "personal" satifaction. Anyway, Fantastic garm. Would buy one in every color if it weren't for the credit crunch."

"As with other Barbour products, the sleeves were too short so we went up a size, which only increased the sleeve length by half an inch. Now, my Chirstmas present not only has to be exchanged, but also must go to a tailor. Not really thrilled about paying this amount for something that is a poor fit."

"I get compliments everytime I wear it. I wear it because it is versatile in all kinds of weather, especially wet and cold. But even if it is sunny and just a brisk cold wind, it's the perfect coat to keep you warm. A must have for any cool/cold weather outdoor event. When traveling I ball it up and stuff it in a carry on bag....pull it out shake it once, you're ready to go again wrinkle free. Best casual coat you'll ever own."

"I inherited this jacket from my father who passed away about 10 years ago. He purchased this jacket about 1980 where he wore it almost daily. I'm just at the point now where it is being sent back to Barbour where it will be re-waxed and given some minor touch-up patches and repairs."

"I got my Bedale in 1998. Beyond a doubt, it is the finest coat I have ever owned. A coat is a coat, but this is something more. Maybe it is originally designed for riding, but I take mine fly fishing every chance I get from October to March, as well as everywhere else I go whenever it rains. I live in Portland, so that truly is everywhere! Barbour already has three royal appointments. If it means anything, they can have mine too."
