"I bought this hat in preparation for a Snowgoose hunt this February. After searching high and low for shadowgrass, I found it at Orvis; the first place I should have looked. I liked the waxed cotton...very old school. Great job Orvis is sticking out from the crowd"

A hot hat for duck season., October 8, 2007

"I bought this has as it is one of the few shadowgrass hats out there. Everything seems to be mossy oak nowdays.
I wore this hat for the U.P. of Michigan opener this weekend and had great successes. 24 Ducks found, 30 shot! We also shot 5 Canadan Geese!

The hat is comfortable and repels water just like it's quarry! (A duck...) There is one small problem...if the weather is hot (92 degrees for the opening weekend - in october !) the had does not breathe as it is truly waterproof - inside and out. For colder or wet weather this hat would be even better!
