"I'm a quality over quantity kind of guy and a few years ago I bought these slacks and had them shortened and cuffed...they look great and wear better. All in all, they are super comfortable, warm, stylish, and as another reviewer said, "wash & dry" them and hit them with a steam iron....done. They look great with loafers or tucked into snow boots."

Favorite pants for col weather,

"I bought a pair for my husband 2 yrs ago. They are his favorite pants for cool weather. And he tells me over and over again that they feel so good on his skin. We are ordering more this year. We usually dry clean but I've thrown them in the washer and dryer a couple of times - because he "had" to have them the next day. They came out fine; I used cool and gentle cycle."

"I saw these pants at a retail outlet but ordered them online so that they would come to my home already tailored. When I received the pants, they were too long. I was worried that since they were tailored, Orvis would not take the exchange. I was wrong. They guy at the local store could not have been nicer. He credited my card and then called customer service to explain the problem. Basically, when he handed me the telephone, the new order was already complete. I was very imporessed. So much so that I bought 2 sweaters."
