"Sweatshirts generally neither fit me nor suit me, so I took a gamble in ordering this cardigan. But it's perfect! The fit--length, shoulders, sleeve length, degree of roominess--couldn't be better, and the style--short and boxy, with a crew neck--is one I particularly like. I'm not sure what "pigment-dyed" means, but it seems to have resulted in a special harmony between color and fabric: the "autumn glaze" I ordered has brightness yet softness and depth. The fabric is substantial enough to make for a neat appearance. Whether paired with denim, poplin, or twill, the cardigan provides a polished and well-put-together look."

"As a matter of fact, I think I'm maybe too tall for this sweater, because it's short--and frankly, I'm not sure how much it really flatters me. But I LOVE the sweater, the weight, the warmth, the buttons, so much, that I bought it for comfort, not looks. Don't want to give the impression that this is not a GREAT LOOKING sweater - it is - especially if you're under 5'7". I'm 5'8" AND I don't care because I'm just crazy about the sweater. I own a green one and a blue one. Wasn't crazy about the pearl color because it was too close to white."

"This cardigan dresses up a casual outfit. It's more than a sweatshirt and the color, autumn glaze, goes well with jeans and twills. It does run small. Usually Orvis sizing is accurate but this seemed smaller. I use it for travel and love it."

"I'm 5'7 and weight 160lb my size is 12-14. I ordered large size(14-16). It barely fit me. it looked ok if you like tight sleeves which makes you look thinner. the length is short if you over 5'7 don't buy it. it would be too short for you. I wish it has pockets and more color choice. The real cotton look & feel made it very nice since I don't like the synthetic material stuff. I had the orange color I want to order the wisteria but it is back ordered till May 2010."

"I ordered this cardigan in the Pearl color (which IMO, tends to be to the gray side). The quality/weight of the garment was very nice. However, I felt the sizing ran on the small side, especially in the arm area which seemed tight to me if you wanted to layer long sleeves under it. I ordered a size small (which usually in Orvis is plenty big for me) but this garment felt tight and I chose to return it."

"This cardigan is cute, well made and is really soft. However, it did not fit me well (size S). it was a little too short for my 5'8" frame; it just skimmed the top of my pants waist (typical, just below the waist jeans, not low rise jeans). It was also a bit boxy on me. I think I would have been fine with the boxy fit had it been 2 inches longer. As it was, it looked like it had been washed and had shrunk too much in the length. The sleeve length was perfect. I went back and forth and finally decided to return it today."

"I was reading through the reviews of this cardigan out of curiosity. A year ago I purchased it in four colors. It is one of those clothing items that I grab from the closet and go. This button-up "sweat" has replaced my traditional sweatshirts. Jeans, cords, khakis, dress up a bit or not. I think the picture makes it look longer than it is. I love the shorter length. And, I'm glad it doesn't have pockets; I wouldn't want the extra bulk on the sides."

"I bought four of these in different colors, gave one away as a Christmas present. There is one thing the jackets lack, in my opinion; I wish they had pockets, like somewhat similar sweatshirt jackets a few years ago. But I like the look and comfort of the jacket, and the colors were good."

"I would definitely recommend that you wash and dry this a couple of times before wearing it. One washing was not enough with mine, it still left orange stains where the interior of the sleeves rubbed up against my tee shirt. Otherwise, very comfortable, liked the relaxed fit. I would purchase another."

"I loved the other sweatshirts I received and wanted the button one for myself and a gift. However, I found that the size ran much smaller than the other sweats. So, have to send it back for a larger one. We'll see if that works. But, overall, if this fits, it is a nice sweater and I like the shorter length."

"After reading other reviews I couldn't wait to get one. However when I opened my package, and tried the cardigan on, my excitement turned to disappointment. The styling, color, and fit were great but the fabric was not. If you are looking for the same comfort of a traditional sweatshirt, don't get this product. The fabric has no give which made it hard to even push up the sleeves to wash my hands. I returned it."
