"I have several spey rods and this is one of my favorites. I use a streamline 10/11 with a Nautalis 12s. I have caught hundreds of salmon ranging from 5 - 55 lbs on it with very few problems. The only issue I ever had was with it breaking at the feral. With this rod it is impportant that you constantly check the joints. I shipped it back to orvis and they sent me a brand new rod a few weeks later. Overall a great rod with plenty of power."

Two-Handed Bargain,

"The Streamline 14' 9/10 Spey Rod is a true two-handed bargain. Spey casting really stresses a fly rod but this one is built to take it. The high quality components and durable graphite construction are impressive for a two-handed rod in this price range.
Of the Streamline Spey Rods, the 14' 9/10 probably has the fastest action. There is a tremendous amount of power in the stout graphite blank to help you launch a spey line over great distances and then turn that big steelhead or king salmon when he decides to start heading for open water. I have looked around and any other two-handed fly rod with this kind of power will cost you twice as much.
If you like fast action fly rods and are looking for a great deal on a spey rod, this is it."
