"This is a great vest; I wish I had a black one just like it. The vest is so sharp, I have to work up the nerve to wear it; I know that people are going to gush all over it. The workmanship is excellent; the leather is really plush. I thought that the collar would be a darker brown but I'm getting use to it. I'm amazed at how many different color combinations that this vest goes well with. It was a little pricy but it is a quallity product; also I liked the wood hanger and garment bag that came with it."

"Rec'd the vest yesterday and already I can tell this is going to become my most favorite piece of clothing. The quality and workmanship of this vest are exceptional. Being on the thin side, I was initially leery about the fit, based on some other reviews. But the regular size fits me great, not a problem. This vest is definitely worth the investment."

"This is a very fine vest with an exceptional feel to the leather and good workmanship throughout.. It is on the smart side, and I would not use it as a "munitions vest" i.e. a work vest, but it is great for walking -- rural or urban. If you are on the small side of a regular fit you might find the cut generous and may be advised to try one on before you buy."

"I have been looking for a vest for a number of years and all that i have put on were designed around the cowboy theme. While I like that I wanted something unique, warm and stylish. I found it in this crew vest.It has plenty of room yet not bulky, well made of suple material and the color goes with anything. The only drawback is that it does not have an inside pocket. "This is a rich looking vest that has to be the softest leather I've ever owned - I love it! It goes especially well with the WWII Mechanics sweater I ordered for a comfortable combination for driving or outside walking on a not too cold a day; it's just enough to take the chill out of the air yet not add a lot of weight or bulk. My only regret is that they didn't design it with an inside pocket in which to store a wallet."

"Great Product, excellent Workmanship, sturdy construction. Only other similar product I liked was more than three times the price. As others have commented, fits a little large. True, but not a problem in my case. Color is a little lighter than photo, but looks excellent. I use it mainly for shooting skeet/clays. Pockets are great and hold comfortably a box of shells.
Find your shipping rates/premium cost to Canada a little heavy thus 1 mark off in the value department.
Thinking of also ordering your International Clays Vest.

"My wife purchased this vest for my birthday (she knew that I had been lusting after it). Unfortunately, she did not read the reviews, so she was unaware that its sizes run large. It arrived promptly, and when my birthday rolled around, I was every bit as impressed as I had anticipated. It is clearly a beautifully crafted, well-made piece of outerwear. That said, it didn't fit, so my wife returned it and contacted customer service. She was delighted when Orvis immediately sent out a replacement without even waiting to receive the "return." "Beautiful leather, soft as anything, but several things keep it from being a good practical piece. First, I need an inside pocket of some kind, this has none. Very cool it has handwarmer pockets but they are just slightly to high, and they are to shallow to keep much in.
HOWEVER, both the leather and the construction are amazing. I am very impressed by the quality of the piece. I simply found it unusable for my needs."

"This vest is exactly what it is touted. It could be a Western look, but it is not good for rugged work. The leater is too soft, Yet,it will age beautifully as used. One great feature is it closes with a zipper or you may use the snaps. The latter gives you additional space so you can layer. The 2 front pockets are ok, but do not allow you to put your hands into them as they are too high. This vest is a city slicker vest, which makes one look cool, but not for leading a wagon trail. I really love it."

"Unfortunately, I had to return the vest because it did not fit. Based on its cut, I decided that I probably could never justify wearing it with its high shoulder cut. It looked like a jacket with the sleeves ripped out - not a traditional cut for a vest. The color was much darker than the catalog picture showed. The corduroy collar was totally a turn-off. One does not expect cheap corduroy on a nice vest."
