NICE SMALL STREAM ROD FOR TIGHT COVER, March 11, 2009

"THIS IS MY 7TH NEW SUPERFINE TROUT BUM ROD AND IT, LIKE THE OTHERS, HAS GREAT COMPONENTS, AESTHETICS, AND FUNCTION. I PREFER THE PACKABILITY OF THIS ROD MORE THAN THE 663-2 , BUT I LIKE THE ACTION OF THE 663-2 BETTER. THIS ROD IS PATTERNED AFTER THE "FLEA" AND HAS A LOT OF BACKBONE, BUT SEEMS A LITTLE "STIFF" FOR A SUPERFINE. I PREFER THE 602-4, BUT STILL A NICE ROD FOR SMALL STREAMS AND TIGHT COVER."

"I have had this rod for about a year now and can't think of any other rod I have used that even comes near to the performance of my Superfine.
I have always been a Scott man but using the SFTB has really changed my mind.
The rod feels amazing in your hand. Light and sensitive yet it with backbone at the same time.
Talk about versatile, this rod can be used to cast out as far as your skill level will allow you to but presentation can be as delicate as you need it to be.
Accuracy is top notch and the rod is just a beautiful specimen of what you would expect from Orvis.
Probably the most satisfying rod purchase I have ever made and I would not hesitate to look into other Superfine Trout Bums.
Kudos to Orvis for this incarnation of the Superfine. You did extremely well and this rod should make everybody who fishes with it a believer."
