"i just received today my Orvis Superfine Trout bum 805-4 and couldn't wait to try it out in my garden. This rod must be made by a super ET-power ! It casts like a dream short, aswell longer lines. No effort is required and its is very precise, even when there is a little wind. I have the 7"11 Superfine full flex and have also enjoyed this rod, but this new Superfine outstands that one by far. If you can take advantage of the ROD SWAP program, go for it. One advise i must give, and that is to keep it firmly in your hand, for it is so light, it may fly away like a bird !"

"I took up fly fishing this year and used a lot of my friends' very expensive rods in bamboo and graphite while searching for my first nice combo to stream fish for trout.
I finally bought my Trout Bum rod after recommendation of the manager of the fishing department at my local Orvis store, and have never for a second regretted that choice. Mine matches perfectly with an Orvis CFO III fly reel, and I would not change a thing about it.
This one matches my needs perfectly, and casts like a dream even for a novice. I am really proud of my choice with this Orvis gear and hope to continue enjoying it for the rest of my years and then pass it on to one of my grandchildren."

"I was fortunate enough to purchase a new Superfine Trout Bum 805-4 prior to fishing season this year. The rod was matched with a medium arbor reel and the Superfine wonderline. This rod, reel and line combination has made wonders in my fishing experiences this season. I want to thank rod builder Andy Stone for this new addition to the Orvise rod line. The rod folds the line over so well that it allows the placement of the fly in locations I have not been able to reach before. I have used this rod in both a pond and river situations and have had excellant luck in both cases. If you have ann opportunity to experience the Trout Bum, take it."
