The construction is similar to that of a high-quality outdoor chair cushion. The cover is made of upholstery-grade outdoor acrylic fabric, and the inner stuffing is bonded polyester fiber, neither of which will absorb water or odors. "Since I have small dogs, I knew this bed would be roomy. But little did I know that all of my teacups (tiny dogs) easily could fit on it. This is strange since my dogs traditionally prefer the deck to snoozing on one of their cushions. Apparently, they love the airiness of this cushion and the bounciness of it. Must be much more comfortable in hot weather for them. It's already been rained on a few times and looks like brand new. It was a tad expensive but well worth the price. I highly recommend this bed! I just wish it had come in even more colors."

"I am a little skeptical about buying online so I felt compelled to write this review because the others helped me make the good decision to buy this bed. The holiday season has come early for my 110 pound white lab, Cobb. With the Georgia fall season right around the corner I knew we would be putting in a lot of porch time so I started looking around for a large outdoor bed for him. He is 9 years old and seeing him gently rest those old joints on the hard planks of the deck was getting to me. Being a "big dog" I needed something that he could stretch out on (as older labs do) and also a bed that would weather well. The bed just arrived today and Cobb has already put in some good porch time without me! He loves this bed and it looks great too; there is even extra room for his buds (a toy mallard and rope bone) It rained this evening and the bed is already dry, ready to go. You won't be dissapointed."

"This is a very roomy and attractive outdoor bed. It fits two of my dogs at a time. It rained last night and the bed dried very nicely without any odors or fading. I highly recommend it for outdoor use. Also, the monogramming is a plus. The only negative was the shipping carton it arrived in was completely crushed when it arrived! Thankfully the bed inside was okay. 313patti"

New Naptime Favorite
"I thought I'd try this bed since it was deemed an "outdoor" dog bed, the previous reviewer mentioned not having any odor issues since using this. Since I don't like stinky dog smell in the house, that helped make my decision. I also wanted something I could put in my dog's kennel that wouldn't be too warm, and not easy to destroy. She ripped up a previous pad we had in it. With this new bed, she managed to unzip the cover on this while we were gone, and chewed the inside part of it. We were able to stuff it all back in and zip it up. She has not tried to do it again. She has tried in vain to actually chew and claw the fabric on this. We are quite pleased with how it's holding up, and it looks good."

"My name is Finnegan and I'm a Tibetan Terrier who lives in Wyoming. I love this dog bed! I sleep in it, I play with my toys in it and I plan to take some long naps in it this fall when the sun is warm and the air is crisp and cool. I'll probably have my pet parents bring it in during the winter, as the snow kind of piles up around here and I won't find it till spring! It's like floating on a cloud, so I call it my "Little Piece of Heaven". Thanks Orvis- I love your dog stuff!"

"My Springer loves this bed. The minute I put it down, he checked it out, pawed and rolled on it and then curled up for a nap. He is a big boy with arthritis and this cushion really supports him. He is happy, so we are happy!"

"Ed, our 98 lb German Shephard loves his outdoor bed. We live in the rainy NW and have it outside on a deck under cover, but wind still blows rain in and the bed drys quickly and does not stay damp. Also light wieght, can take it in the back of our SUV on trips for him to be more comfortable. Cleans up well, I'm ordering my second! He had a buddy over who chewed on the original, but what are friends for? Would recommend highly."

"I have gone through more dog beds than I care to recount. most broke down on the inside after minor outdoor use. This is the only bed that weathered both the hot Texas sun, its torential rains of spring, and the rough use from our two active labs, Marley and Bella and their buddy, Rollo (our son's coonhound). I have washed it numerous times, and we use it both for outdoors on the deck, and in the car when we take road trips. it is so versatile and useable, it is the best I have found to date. And believe me, I have bought and tried many over the past 4 and a half years!"

"Our dog, Rolo, loves this bed. Usually it takes a while for him to take to a new bed but he started using this bed from the day we unpacked it. We keep it on our back porch and love that it is quick drying and good for the outdoors."
