"I've used them all over the years and I keep coming back to the Orvis super strong. It holds it's strength and has just enough stretch to act as a shock absorber . Knot strength is great and I've noticed that it does not break down and weaken over time as other brands that I have used. (I've used the same spools for a couple of seasons and not noticed any degradation) Hope they don't change...I'm not going to any more"

"These leaders are affordable, tough, and simply get the job done. Combo packs offer an outstanding value 2 leaders plus a spool of tippet. Pick up some in all the sizes you might even think about needing. Good for everyday fishing needs and when you don't need to worry about the fish being too leader shy."

"In September of 2007, a friend and I went to the mighty San Juan in Northwest New Mexico where I used a 5X Mirage flourocarbon leader and tippet on my Orvis Clearwater Rod. The fish can be ultra finicky as they see literally thousands of imitations thrown at them. With my Orvis leader and tippet not only did I catch more fish, both fat rainbows and fiesty browns, but I was able to bring them to the net. I had a spare leader but did not have to utilize it even after 3 days on this fabulous water. Thanks ORVIS for making a great fishing trip even better. Sincerely, LWolf"

"I purchased the 4x and 5x leaders and tippet material for a 1 week trout fishing trip to Yellowstone and they performed wonderfully. In fact, it is the only leader and tippet used by our guide service. I really like the knotless attachement."
