There was no photo of the sweater on a model, so I did not realize this. I bought it on sale, however, and so am using it in the house. If it were longer, I would buy again."

"This sweater is pretty, and oh so soft. I bought it for travel, because it is so lightweight, and that it is. My only disappointment is that is does not slide well putting it on over a cotton T-shirt. I also have trouble getting it into an unlined jacket. I am keeping it, but I feel it is bulkier than what it appears in the pictures."

"I've worn this sweater all winter and am surprised at how warm it is for such a lightweight article. I bought the double-cream color which is actually an eye-catching yellow. This sweater is very soft and washes quite well. The dimensions are perfect for me. The overall length (falls right to my hip) is comfortable but not bulky, especially when sitting. The sleeve length is perfect as well. Orvis, please don't change a thing! Just offer new colors for next year."

"I purchased this sweater to use as a wrap. I found that it does not slide on easily over cotton turtlenecks. It's fine with blouses made of smooth material like silk. I also found it to be rather short. I'm 5'7" and it falls just above my hips. I've given it to a friend who is petite and the length is great on her."

"Finally, a sweater that truly fits! I am 5'4" and prefer the shorter/boxy style. Really warm without the weight and bulk. I like the plum color although I was expecting a darker color, based on the pictures. I debated about purchasing this sweater because of the price but I have not been disappointed. I get lots of compliments when I wear it (which is all the time) and am purchasing one as a gift for my mother. Would love to see it in brighter/darker colors."

I was eagerly anticipating this item and was quite disappointed when I received it to discover all of the buttons had to be reinforced since they were literally hanging by threads. The construction overall concerns me when I will need to clean this sweater because I am afraid of what I will end up with. I do not recommend this."

"I really want this sweater and am hesitating due to the shortness of length. Why aren't cardigan sweaters made longer? I like the Spring colors shown, and would also like to see something in brighter shades. I wear sweaters constantly and prefer the extra length because I feel more comfortable with length. Please see if the length of the sweaters offered might be increased in the future. I'd probably buy more from Orvis if the added length were available - about 24" to 25"."

"Overall the sweater is very soft and comfy, and fits my 5'4" frame, but the plum color in the picture is very misleading. Actually that color is grayish plum, which is not very flattering on me. I need bright colors or black as an option. If that were the case I would get another. Only tried on this gift, so don't know if laundering will change the appearance. Would only recommend if the colors were different."

"This is one of the best purchases I've made. I have the sweater in merlot and, from the current pastel range, in elm. I've also given a merlot and a peacock as gifts, and both recipients were delighted. I've never had a sweater as easy to care for: machine wash, machine dry (comes out fluffier than drying flat), and, if necessary, smooth a little by hand (better than ironing). I usually wear it with a long-sleeved tee underneath--the boxy style makes it especially accommodating. This soft, cozy, versatile cardigan provides a relaxed but well-put-together look."
