"When the toy arrived it made a very interesting sound that my Labradoodle liked. That was the one and only time the sound worked. He carries it around and tries to hear the sound again but it only worked once. Cute and interesting toy but not the quality I have come to expect from Orvis."

"We have 4 eight week old lab puppies and they don't destroy soft toys yet, assume they will when older, anyway felt this would be fun toy. i quess it was for 10 min. we gave it to one puppy,little female-sissy- to see how it would go over and she liked it but in 10 min its ribbit-squeaker and stuffing were done. She didn't even seem that hard on it seemed like the stiching just gave way. seems from other reviews it is a small dog type toy. even though my lab is a puppy it couldn't hold up."

"I want to share how much fun my shelties and me have with these Loopie toys. True they can be chewed if the dog is left unattended with the toy, but surpervised, they are a great toy and last forever. The dogs love the sounds and the ablity to tug and catch. They are favorite toys at our house. Our shelties may be smaller dogs, but are tough on toys. We have the duck, frog, candy cane, santa and our first one we bought from Orvis, the cow."

"We bought the candy cane/snake thing on sale at the Orvis shop in Manchester and it's one of our dog's favourite toys. He happily rips into it, shakes it around, and it hasn't ripped yet! It's a well-designed and well-made dog toy."

"In the mouth of a soft mouthed dog this toy lasted no time at all. The seams started opening up straight away and the toy became unusable very quickly indeed. Total waste of money"

"After reading the other reviews, I thought this toy would be good for my pug and lab. My pug wasn't the problem....he loved it. My lab on the other had destroyed it within minutes. Ripped the ears off, de-stuffed it and found the noise-maker. I was really disappointed by this as I thought we could finally find a toy for him."

"I got this toy for my 85lb labrador. This toy is colorful and fun. My dog likes to tug the loops. He loves the squeakers in each loop of this toy. However, I was greatly disappointed that he was able to chew out a squeker within 10 minutes of getting the toy. Orvis toys have been much more durable in the past and I was greatly diassapointed."

Good but has squeaker,

"Not sure if they've changed the design since the last reviewer wrote - but I got the lamb for my dog (part pitbull part lab) and it definitely DOES have a squeaker, and it doesn't make lamb noises either! Actually I should say it DID have a squeaker - as of course that got chewed out within the first hour! However the toy is standing up well to the pitbull jaws!! and lasting much longer that the usual soft toy products - which he normally destroys within 5 minutes. So despite the removed squeaker I have to reccomend this toy!"

Miraculous Dog Toy Keeps on Going and Going,

"My pack of 4 fidos, average weight about 70 lbs per dog, normally makes mincemeat of a new toy in 5 minutes to 5 hrs. Currently, they toss not only the 2 month old sheep around the yard, but also its ancient earlier version, the cow (about 10 months old). Perhaps the loopies last because there is an interesting noisemaker but no squeaker to dissect out of the toy, or because they are fun for the dogs to toss around by themselves and run after, but not so fun for tug of war. The only caveat: my ridgeback (who does NOT destroy toys but likes to just hold them in his mouth) is not so interested in the loopie."
