"I live at over 6,000 elevation. The winters are long and very cold. I love this robe. I wear it when ever I am at home, over night clothes and day clothes, to keep me warm. I can keep my house temperatures colder and still remain warm and cozy while saving heating dollars. It is the best robe I have every owned and that covers many years for I am a senior citizen."

"Bought this to replace old and much loved fleece gown. Struggled to find one that was long, really warm but with practical sleeves. This fleece robe is great. I can snuggle up in it on cold nights and it keeps me warm on cold Lincolnshire mornings when I let out the dog and feed the birds. I would agree with other reviewers that darker cuffs would be better than the white but otherwise an excellent buy."

"I received my first Orvis robe yesterday and have spent the last 12 hours in it. It's so warm and cuddly! I love the fitted sleeves and high neckline. The dark mauve is such a soft and pretty shade. The size runs just a liitle large, but I think that's an asset in a robe! I'm glad I ordered it, even though the color was not initially my first choice."

"I love this robe and spend a lot of time in it. We keep our house cool and this robe is wonderfully warm-like wearing a blanket. It is also lightweight, durable, soft, long and easy to put on and take off. if you want to access value based on number of hours spent wearing a garment, this robe is worth every penny and I've never found anything as good elsewhere. My only complaint is the cream cuffs and neck. They quickly look dingy even though I treat them with stain remover every time I wash it. I hope they can be changed to a darker color that will also coordinate nicely with the darker fabrics. Personally, I like blue best."

"I have had my blue dressing gown for just a little over a week now,and I can honestly say it is the best robe I have ever owned,it feels like it was made for me,the length is perfect,I love the deep pockets,and it's so unbelievably comfy.my only complaint is..... "For 20 years, I'd worn, and worn through, my quilted cotton robe. My security blanket. It was soft, cuddly, and toasty warm. I planned to keep it forever. But it became threadbare, dingy and and buttonless. So, regretfully, I searched for a replacement and finally decided on this Orvis fleece robe. I wasn't disappointed. It is everything my good old robe used to be. Now I'm going to cut up my old robe and make a bed for my kitty.
My only wish is that the cuffs weren't white...I wear the robe all hours of the day and night here on the farm, doing all sorts of tasks, and I'm afraid I won't be able to keep the cuffs looking nice."

"This is, without question, the best, warmest robe I have ever owned. It's just like wrapping up in a blanket (which I used to do) when I felt chilled. It a cozy, comfortable feeling. I got an XL, the same size I wear in most of my clothes now.
I was facing surgery when I ordered the robe and it arrived the day I came home after surgery. My husband washed it, dried it and I curled up in it and just felt secure. Sounds crazy I know but that's the way it was.
I only hesitated buying the robe after reading about the snaps coming off. I then figured (hoped) that they had maybe made the necessary corrections to fix the problem. So far, so good.
I live in Alaska and in the morning and evening when I have to bring my dog outside to go potty I'm repeatedly convinced that it's the best thing I ever did with my money. :-)"

"i purchased this robe as a christmas present to myself two years ago and have loved wearing it. It is so soft and feels like a warm blanket around me. Shape has stayed consistant and color has not faded. Couple of things that I would change- the cuffs are a ribbed knit fabric that catches fuzz balls and gets dirty faster that the robe and the bulkiness of the fleece can get in the way sometimes. But all in all I love it and would recommend it to my friends."

"This robe is awesome. I got the khaki and it is quite a nice neutral; the weight of the fleece is not too heavy, not too light. The robe is user-friendly, no belt, just snaps, and you can move in it as it is not too bulky or constricting. I usually wear an XL, and I got this in a Large and it is perfect (I had called customer service and got the garment measurements and made an informed decision). Also, I am 5' 4" and the robe comes down to the top of my feet but doesn't hit them, so the length is perfect, too -- it feels "custom-made" for me. The knit cuffs and collar and big pockets are also nice. It cost more than I am used to paying, but I am so happy with it that I am glad I did."

"I have 3 of these robes and am getting ready to buy the fourth. The only negative is I wish there were more colors. Very generous cut-I wear a 14/16 but I like the way the XL fits-I want an oversized robe. Roomy, comfortable and can layer over PJ's. Plenty of room to tuck your feet into when you are curled up in your favorite chair. Best robe I have found in years-warm and toasty!"

"I purchased this robe because it has snaps. I like the option of quickly putting it on & snapping only a top & bottom snap. I am 5'4" & the length is ok for me. I like the heavy weight of the fleece & the cuffed sleeves. I usually wear a size 12 & I bought a medium robe. I think I could wear a small but I like the extra roominess a medium robe gives me."

"I have just purchased my second or these robes. I have had the first for several years. It remains soft and pill-free after many washings, but I needed to go down a size due to weight loss.The sizing is very generous; I am a size 12 or M in most clothes, and the Small robe fits just fine.
I like the thick fleece this robe is made of.The ribbed cuffs and neck keep out the chill. I would prefer a zip front to snaps, however, and almost didn't buy it originally because of the snaps. The initial cost is high, but the robe is so durable that it is worth the investment."
