Great Swiss Quality, August 15, 2008

"I purchased the Magic Tool kit about a year ago; and use it frequently. The Magic Tools are very ingenious and beautifully made. The scissors are superb; and all the other metal components are gorgeous Swiss quality. Do not buy the tools without the the dvd; or you will not have a clue how to use his system. The dvd also shows some really neat tricks you can use for routine tying. The Magic Tool excels at exotic dubbing techniques; but it is tricky. It seems intimidating at first; but is qucikly learned with practice.
I have only one negative after using the tools. I believe they need at least one size smaller clip and clamp, perhaps two smaller sizes. In my hands, the Magic Tool kit is great for tying flies about size 12 and larger. I have not done well with smaller flies; especially 16 or smaller. Perhaps in Europe they use larger patterns. I would also suggest that individual replacement parts be available. The clips and clamps are plastic ; and I am sure If I ever step on one it will be bye- bye."
