More green than tan, March 3, 2010
By: sallyann from Vermont

"This jacket fit well and looked well. However, the color is more green than the tan it shows, even in the swatch. I ended up sending it back as there was a pull in one of the shoulders. It's an expensive jacket and would have thought the inspection process would have been a little better. If there wasn't a pull (and some loose strings), I probably would have kept it, even though the color was different than I expected."

Gorgeous jacket, February 21, 2010
By: Petoskey

"This is a great jacket. The colors are rich yet subtle, the fabric soft yet substantial. This is the third Orvis jacket I've purchased. They are all classics I will wear for years."

Lovely jacket, January 15, 2010
By: zxcvbn

"I ordered this jacket and it was exquisite. Well designed, beautiful shape and fabric . I didn't keep it because I have a very olive complexion and unfortunately the color didn't work for me. If it had been tans and browns and deep oranges (more of a tweed), I would have bought it without hesitation. These jackets are quite pricey and for that price, it has to be perfect (for me)."

Thank You!!, June 23, 2008
By: classicinclass

"With the Californ. temps into the triple digits, this wonderful FOUR season classical styled jacket is a lifesaver. It is hard enough finding a blazer (jacket, as you say) of classic length and style, but to find one for summer is almost impossible. I was so sorry when I passed on it about a couple of years ago that when I saw it this time, I ordered it immediately. It is the type of item that could sell out for the season, and I wouldn't want to miss out again. Still, I had my doubts that it could be done, not to mention with such lovely details such as "real" working sleeve buttons, etc. I should never doubt Orvis on these matters: you folks almost always come through.
Thanks, once more!
RM
P.S. -- I see that the cool summer shorts have "normal" front openings (sewn on the left, opens to the right: at least 85% of women are right-handed, and even southpaws are used to what has become the "jeans" style [meaning more interesting jeans, and less appealing dress slacks because of this change). They can be found without much trouble, but perhaps not with the superb quality that Orvis offers. Rarely, you have offered them, but they seem to disappear quickly. I know, though, with the increasing popularity of jeans, that trendy styles change, and change back, so I will be patient in this regard. Just a suggestion. If I was a "shorts" person, I buy them up in a heartbeat, but alas, I prefer slacks.
Thanks again, for the lovely classic jacket."
