"My wife and family bought this for me for my 30th birthday and I nearly fell over when I realized what I had. Everything about this reel is just special. From the the finish, to the working parts, leather case and cause, it is just perfect. It also balances perfectly with my 7' 4wt. Superfine. I look forward to many wonderful days on the water, and the memory that goes with it. This is truly an heirloom piece that I plan on passing down!"

"On Valentine's Day, my girlfriend handed me a box, inside was a CFOII Conservation Reel. What a surprise, I was like a child with a new toy on christmas. The drag was supurb, and the clicking of the reel reminds me of the Hardy St Johns reel I use for Salmon and large trout. The Anodizing was perfect and the only way to make the CFO line better is to change the color to the Gunmetal Grey. I spooled it up with 50 ft 20lb backing and a WF4F line, perfect for my 7' Bamboo fly rod. Hope they have a few more left, I'm going to buy one more for another rod I recently aquired."

"This reel is a true gem! Same great quality as the standard CFO, but even better looking. I'm likely going to buy another before they are no longer available, but I'm dissapointed that you can't get an identical spare spool. The standard CFO spool works fine, but doesn't have the gorgeous finish of the conservation model."

"I purchased this reel to go on my Superfine 3wt rod.
At first I was reluctant to spend the $$ over the standard CFO reel. But when I thought it being a limited edition, having the upgraded internals, the unique finish and the leather reel case I decided just to go for it.
I sure am glad I did, it works flawlessly and balances perfectly on the rod.
I really like the way there is no surge before the drag kicks in. I have caught a few fish with it but nothing big enough yet to put the drag into action. Hopefully that will happen soon."
