Holy Grail

Holy Grail

This is a very buggy little nymph that works not only in the stream, but in still water for trout and warm water species as well. Highly imitative of a variety of nymphs, the Holy Grail can be a great searching dropper off of any dry or emerger. Check out the reviews below for an idea of how productive this fly can be, especially when fishing for trout. Color, Black, Hare's Ear, Olive. Nymphs available in sizes: 12, 14, 16.

"I fish in the East koy creek which is very small and heavily fished. I put this on and i was amazed at how well it worked! i used it as a caddis emerger and nailed them one after another!"

"As a guide, I fortunately have the opportunity to fish for pleasure and for work. This year, my boss, turned me on to this fly as a possibility for my dropper rig. Let me just say, there is not one other nymph that has the reputation for producing such aggressive strikes as this little bug does. Fish it under a big olive stimulator on the swing or behind a beadhead hare's ear. This fly single handedly has caught my clients and myself more trout that any other pattern in my box. I will not go to the stream without at least four of them with me. If you do not believe me, then purchase two and swing them about twenty-two inches behind you indicator in fast water and just hold on because the Holy Grail is just that hot!"

" The Holy Grail is MY go-to fly for still water. Here in Utah theres alot for still water fly fishermen who only throw buggers and leech patterns. But I regularly out fish them with a size 12 Holy Grail. I also teach this pattern in the College Fly Tying classes I teach. Awesome fly!"

"One of the salesmen at the Manchester store told me that this was a go-to fly for early season Landlocks in Maine several years ago. It worked great for me, but more surprising is the fact that it has been my "go-to" fly for springtime blue-gills and bass as well! "
