"This is a great jacket. It works well in rain or when layered over down or fleece it becomes a great winter coat. I am in no mans land right on the cusp in between sizes with a 45" chest. I actually have 2 of these, one is a large which I use in warmer weather and the other one is extra large which I wear over a down layer in winter weather. It is set up well with the hood that folds up into the collar and very functional and handy pockets. The only area I rated it 4 stars is in appearance and that is simply because it is not available in more colors. Offer it in black and also again in the moss color that I have it in and I would give it 5 stars accross the board."

"Generally, this jacket will suit most buyer's requirements. You do not have to purchase a size larger for comfort. The jacket provides the basic protection one should require for most weather conditions. I live in the Northeast. I can wear this jacket quite comfortably with some additional weather protection (sweaters, sweat shirts, even my quilted and shearling vests) if necessary. The only disappointment I have with this jacket (and it is a mild one) is its zipper. The zipper should have been of better quality. It can present some problems at times. Other than that, the jacket is a great "knock-around" item. It should provide years of enjoyment."

"It's everything you said it would be and my dogs love it. They know when they see me put it on with my iPod, which I store in the handy zipper pocket, (adjacent to the main zipper) that "we be goin' walkies." Perfect for in-between weather with a sweatshirt or sweater in cooler weather."

"Great jacket. Last rain/wind jacket I had from Orvis is still with me after 25+years.
This Jacket offers style, wind and rain protection.
My only, and substantial, gripe is I cannot get one to fit my wife and daughter.
Orvis needs to carry a full line of the mens products in women's sizes also."

"Great coat. Almost kept it even with sleeves too short. I'm 6' 210lbs and some coats are long enough, this one wasn't. Arghhhh... I really would have expected an outfit like Orvis to carry tall sizes in something like this. As stated, a very nice coat though."

"I bought this jacket in February and wear it every day to walk my dog. We do a 2-mile circuit every morning, rain or shine. The coat has kept me dry and comfortable in a wide range of temps from the 20's to the 60's. During the winter I layered it over a fleece jacket. As the weather warmed up I switched to a fleece vest underneath, and then just the jacket. I like the look and feel of the fabric, the way the coat fits, and the many pockets."

"I have owned one of these jackets for two years now and love it. It is just the right weight for the weather we have here and all the pockets are great. When it is raining I just pull out the hidden hood and keep going."
