The ultimate screen door—people and pets can walk right through this screen, and it will automatically shut behind them. No more slamming doors, ripped screens, or open doors that let bugs into the house. This screen magically shuts with a magnetic closure; hook-and-loop closures are used to keep the screen in place along the door frame. Easily installed in minutes without tools or damage to the door frame. The screen hangs from a tension rod and can be taken down. Two height adjustment tunnels at the top of the screen allow for installation on standard doors 78"-80" in height. Built-in width adjustment allows for installation in door frames within 1" of the posted size. Great for sliding glass doors. Imported.

"We got this screen because our pup wanted to spend time on our condo porch, but we kept on getting flies in the house. Took 10 min to install... and everyone who sees the screen thinks its the coolest thing. Our puppy had no trouble learning how to nose her way through it."

Quality Product,

"The instant screen door goes up easily with no tools needed and the material is sturdy. The velcro closures keep the panels in place. The only unforseen negative is that our 7 mo. old Jack Russell terrier wants to chew on the bottoms of the panels! So we may have to keep them out of his reach for awhile. However I would certainly recommend this high quality product!"

"When the weather is warm enough for the flies & mosquitos to come out, our portable screen door goes up in no time. It's easy to install & so handy, especially for high traffic areas like our kitchen door that opens to the garage. I highly recommended this to my family & friends."

"I got this for my back door. It is nice to be able to leave the door open and the dogs can go in and out as they please with no worries of bugs coming in. I have 2 Siberian Huskies that like to go outside to play a lot. One of my dogs figured it out immediately. My other dog took a little coaxing, but after a couple treats for bait, she got it down. Now she's a pro. Great item."

Excellent solution for pets and children,

"This screen is quality made, looks very nice installed. Even the hubby likes it! Wow, thank you. The only issue I have is that it is a tad shorter than I need it, about 1 - 2 inches. I will add a little (soft screen material) flap to the top (will not be noticeable) to close the very small gap. Thank you Orvis!"

No more doorman!,
June 30, 2009
By:

"I just bought this screen yesterday. My dog figured it out immediately. He is a dachshund. Yes, big dogs and small dogs can use this screen easily! My dog normally rings a bell to go outside but until this screen I have had to wait around in the kitchen until he wanted to come back inside so the bugs wouldn't come in and make themselves at home. I guess my door is about 2 inches taller than a standard door so there is a gap at the top- but 99% of the door is blocked by the screen! There is a rod to hold the screen up and adhesive velcro that you stick to the door frame in a couple of places to hold the screen. This is great because is does not hurt the door frame and is easily removable. This screen is also useful when we barbeque outside and clean up comes around and you don't have an extra hand to open the door and don't want to invite all of the moths to come inside with you. The screen has magnets in the middle and snaps back together once you go through it. I love this screen which is why my review is so long. I highly recommend it for dog lovers or outdoor lovers or anyone! If 1 day has made this big of an impression on me- can't wait to use this all year long! PS- i couldn't put a dog door in, and this is the next best solution!"

Helpful product,

"Installed easily in three minutes, just a tension rod and a few adhesive strips and it's good to go.
This is perfect for those with regular (non-sliding) back doors and dogs that like access to the back yard whenever they like. It's split down the center, with magnetic catches at the middle and bottom of the screen so it stays closed (and more importantly keeps bugs out).
One complaint, it doesn't always catch at the bottom (which leaves a small gap) but it's still preferable and cheaper than having to cut out a dog flap for your existing door, or getting a new door altogether."

Joe loves the screen!
"The screen was installed in a jif. It took me a handful of treats and 5 minutes to train my 3 Labs to go through it. This time of year I am normally a full-time doorman for the "kids" as they cannot decide if they want to be inside or outside. No more leaving the door open and getting a ton of bugs in the house. I should have bought it years ago when I first saw it."

"I love this screen. It took my dogs a day to learn that they could go in and out as they please, and since then they barely notice it. It makes managing the dogs in the summer much easier - they can come in for food or water or to cool off if they want to, and they can come back out when they need.
The door is incredibly easy to install, fits well in the door, performs like it's supposed to, and is very high quality."

"I bought this screen door last year just to see if it would work for our home--It did!! I decided we needed one for another door, and I bought a "cheaper version" of the portable screen door. I got just what I paid for, it's now in the garbage! It was a cheap immitation that is no where near the quality that this one is from Orvis!!"

These are Great,

"If your dogs are like mine, they love to come in and out in nice weather. This screen allows them that freedom without allowing bugs, or anything, else, in. I also keeps me from playing doorman all day. It is easy to install and lasts a long time. The dogs get used to it very quickly ~ usually only takes one coaxing in and out and they have it! I have had one of these screens in every home I have lived in and never been disappointed. Give it a try."

""Dogs run free so why not me?" Bob Dylan This screen is great! My dog "Bronx" a two year old Golden Retriever blows through this screen at full run-as if it was not there. The screen then goes back neatly in place. No getting up and down, no noise no flies and no one hour insallation. The dog is free, I am free, it's all good!!"

good find,

"We have a dog who goes out our patio door a lot - fine in the summer, but a pain in the winter. We took off the door and installed this and it has been a life-changer. We can let our dog come and go without having to buy a dog door. He figured it out quickly. It's a little difficult sometimes for my 6'4" husband to get in and out of and for us to take things in and out (my bike chain snagged on the bottom), but I would say it is a great find. Probably a bit pricier than it needs to be, but worth the price not to have to stand at the door when it is -17."

"This is the best accessory we have purchased for our dogs. They get independant and we quit being doormen. We have used this with a beagle, 2 greyhounds and a rot. I would recommend it to anyone - the best $50 I have spent for my dog (and me)."

"I purchased one of these after being frustrated with dogs, kids, and a husband for which a traditional screen door just didn't seem to be a workable option. This door has been great! Everyone goes in and out with no problem and the bugs stay out. I knew that if I purchased a regular screen door no one would remember to close it anyway, so when I saw this I knew it was exactly what I had been looking for. Thanks for a well thought out product."
