"Very poor quality. As a previous reviewer noted, the pattern is askew. For me, it wasn’t the border that needed adjusting, it was the center part of the quilt. The center pattern was askew, i.e., I could see the paisley getting smaller along each side because of the way it was cut and stitched to the border material. There was no way to correct this and make the quilt appear straight/even on my bed.
Even worse, the center paisley pattern on my quilt had been cut from two different bolts of fabric, and then stitched together vertically. One side of the quilt looked faded in comparison to the other side.
Orvis should not carry such poor-quality products that have been mass-manufactured overseas. Until recently, I’ve believed Orvis carried only high-quality products."

"I agree with the other reviewers that this is a very pretty fabric, but I am disappointed in the workmanship and attention to detail on this quilt. In particular, the piecing of the outside border does not line up with the pattern on the quilt, but cuts across it at a diagonal, which is noticeable when the quilt is on the bed (so, when the pattern is straight on the bed, the border is not, and vice versa). I kept the quilt because I waited several weeks for it (it was backordered) and also because I have a piece of furniture at the bottom of the bed so the "flaw" is less apparent. But, overall, not what I would have expected, quality-wise, from Orvis."

"This quilt is even prettier on the bed than illustrated. The red is a very rich scarlet and the border accent colors are vivid, complementary and absolutely delightful. This quilt exceeded my expectations and I can unconditionally recommend it. The shams are roomy enough to accomodate queen-size thick pillows and create a wonderful overall effect. Thank you Orvis."
