Set-in waistband with elastic insets at the sides, back zipper, on-seam pockets, and belt loops. Made of Orvis Vintage Denim, prewashed for softness. Long Vintage Denim prairie skirt in stone, chambray, dark indigo. Pure cotton. Washable. Imported.Regular sizes: 6-20; about 33" long. Petite sizes: 4-16; about 31" long.

"Hopefully, Orvis will add the 2" they removed or cut off on these skirts. The regular size was 35 inches long.... When I ordered a new one for this year, they changed the length from last year. Please add on the extra 2". It is more slimming and a "real" prairie skirt with the added length. If it had been 35 ", I would have given it a 5 on most."

"I am so glad that Orvis takes its motto seriously: "There is no greater gift than tradition". I am a tradition minded girl and I love to wear skirts. My search for the perfect denim skirt has come to an end with Orvis' Vintage and Weathered Denim Prairie Skirts. I only wish they came in more colors!! The pockets have got to be one of my favorite features. The flat waist with just a tad of elastic is also what convinced me to buy this skirt. And the length plus flowing style just made it an awesome all around skirt. I hope to own many of these skirts."

"As a teacher, I like to look professional and be comfortable daily. The Vintage Prarie Skirt is perfect in every way! The length is appropriate and stylish, taking me from early morning through the day. The material washes beautifully and holds its fit. The waist is nicely constructed, fits well at the waist, and looks great with a belt! I am a Family and Consumer Science Teacher (Home Economics!) and truly appreciate style and quality construction in clothing. This is a wonderful skirt that is an essential part of my wardrobe. I will collect each color! I highly recommend it to every woman who wants the classic look of denim and the versatility of this practical design. "I have both these blue colours, plus beige, black,terracotta and green. It is just perfect at the change of the seasons, wear it with or without tights, with a T shirt or a jacket. Plus for me the most important feature is the deep pockets which mean I can travel light without a handbag. My purse in one pocket and keys and phone in the other! Any chance of red or yellow, or even brown or grey?"

"This skirt has a lovely hip-skimming slimming yoke - which really flatters a woman's shape. However there is just too much material in the skirts for a truly sunning garment. I have another Orvis skirt that has the same yoke and general A-line shape, but it is there is less volume in the skirt and it is much more to y taste. Also, I wish this skirt was offered in tall sizes."

who is the fattest of them all?
"I am a size 14 but in this skirt I look vast. The yoke comes to a point on the fattest part of my stomach and is extremely unflattering. it is maddening - the quality is good and the skirt will last for years, but I really get annoyed when I read the description "slimming front panel". Please Orvis, make a skirt with no front panel and no pockets on the hips - they make me look like an elephant."

"I've got this skirt in terracotta, rather than blue, and it is extremely versatile, particularly when travelling. Being denim its hardwearing and practical, and being a flattering cut it looks nice whether I wear it with a shirt and walking boots, or with a nice blouse and sandals."
