"This is the first Viyella shirt I've bought. The 20% wool in the mix makes it a shirt for cooler weather but it's comfortable to wear and a neat cut. In the Buchanan check the colours are striking, which often elicits a compliment. Well made, comfortable and attractive colours. At the right price, a good buy."

"I love this shirt. The colors are perfect. The softness is unbelievable . I feel great in it. I saw it in the store in Dedham, Ma. with a yellow crewneck over it and had to have it. Being Scottish didn't hurt my decision to purchase it either. Orvis has quality clothes."

"My husband kept the Orvis catalog out for several weeks in October/November, (with the picture of this shirt showing). I took the hint and ordered it for Christmas. He had actually forgotten about the shirt since the catalog was recycled, and was really happy when he got the shirt on Christmas Day. Looks great on him, and the fit is very good; normally he has problems with the sleeves being too short, but he says the fit is great."

My husband's number one favorite shirt,

"My husband and I have been married for 57 years and during that time I must have bought him at least two dozen vyella shirts. He's crazy abut them! They are so comfortable, with just enough Merino wool (20%) to keep him warm, but not too warm. His favorite pattern is Royal Stewart (the red plaid) but at present also has solids in navy, cream, green, brick, plus a glen plaid which looks very sharp with black trousers. At this time I'm replacing the Royal Stewart for the third time! Although at my age of 81 I elect to have them dry cleaned, they look smashing when washed and ironed at home. Buy a vyella shirt, you'll be happy you did!"
