"The Gokey Wetlander boots are some of the most comfortable boots I have ever worn for bird hunting. They are light weight and give great protection with their 10" tops and Gore Tex lining. A great value."

"Can you find better boots than Gokey, sure you can, but you will pay an arm and a leg for them. All things considered you just can't do better than this group. I have 5 different pairs of their shoes/boots and all have stood the test of time. I highly recommend these to anyone who wants a "better" shoe/boot."

"I work at UPS and I walk around at least five miles a day and the boots feel great. Better than any hiking boot I've ever owned. Boots are great and look great also!"

"Great boots! I had ordered them for hiking in the West Virginia mountains late last year (2006). However, last week (mid Feb. 2007) I went to the Smokey Mountains in Townsend, TN and got slammed, really slammed by snow and cold. We hiked all over the trails for miles in the park and fished just as hard, plus hiked in the park when the roads were closed within the park and throughout the time the boots stood their ground. I tell you at no point were my feet cold or wet. Again, great boots, the money for them may make you pause at first but they are worth it. Just suck it up and buy them, you'll thank me later."

"The best pair of boots I ever owned. From Alaska to Mexico they handled anything. And when my ex-wife really wanted to get back at me, she secretly threw them out, because she knew how much that would pain me. Good thing you keep making more of them."

"I have a pair of wetlanders which have just finished their third field season. I hunt in South Florida in conditions that range from rocky/dry to submerged, and these boots have been superbly comfortable. Last month, in the middle of a long day's walk, I had to traverse an area 400 yards across that was under 6-8" of water, and my feet stayed dry. I've never heard of a gore-tex boot retaining its waterproofness so well after three years hard use, but these have. These boots aren't cheap, but they're worth what they cost and then some."

"Dear Gokey, Thanks for making a tough boot. I have put a pair of classic upland boots in places that they weren't intended to be. As a forester in SW Alabama, I take my Gokey boots in harsh environments that most boots won't hold up in. I usually go through a pair of boots in 3-4 months, but not Gokeys. I wore a pair of classic upland boots for 1 year before I had to get them repaired and resoled. The Wetlander would be the perfect boot for me, but unfortunately I wear a EE and they are only made in a D. It perplexes me why such a well designed boot (the Wetlander) isn't made in more than one width. The Wetlander is probably the best designed boot for southern outdoorsmen. Tyler T."
